Thanks to the miracle of the Internet, Liam Gallagher is able to transforms his unintelligible hoots and grunts into incomprehensible tweets
I found myself too busy not watching the Olympic hijinx last night to tune into the Brit Awards, but apparently there was a bit of excitement with host Peter Kay referring to Liam Gallagher a “knobhead” after Gallagher had left the stage following his acceptance speech for best British Album Of 30 Years for (What’s The Story) Morning Glory?. Gallagher’s “acceptance” speech included an expletive followed by him throwing the microphone before tossing Oasis’ Brit Award into the audience.
As you might expect, Gallagher was outraged by Kay’s slight and struck back in characteristically fine form with a tweet from his Twitter account today:
Despite the obvious irony of calling someone a “fat fuck” before crowing about how you “say shit 2 people’s faces not behind their back” in a tweet, I must concede that Gallagher has a valid point, as he has previously shown himself to be something of a case study in demonstrating the class and good manners it takes to be belligerent and obnoxious to people’s faces. A good example is how he carried himself in this interview backstage after winning the Brit Award:
Hey Liam, you can’t spell “class” without the “ass”—though given the pre-literate, sub-normal level of writing displayed in your tweets, you probably can, so congrats on that as well.
